The Simpsons did "Koyaanisqatsi" and you should too.

The Qatsi Trilogy Website
Celebrating Baraka, Koyaanisqatsi and other non-verbal films

The Simpson's most recent Koyaanisqatsi reference was in Season 22 Episode NAB12 Aired 5/1/2011 "The Real Housewives of Fat Tony" was sadly, only a reference and not a paralelled scene, but we thank you again Simpson creators for remebering our love for qatsi.
Bart becomes an excellent truffle sniffer and mistakenly finds some weird looking mushrooms.  Otto, the bus driver, relieves the children of them and says something like '"Koyaanisqatsi" you are getting watched tonight.'  Later he is seen with pupils dilated, jamming a DVD into a rock and saying something about commentary.

“The Simpsons” has now aired (3) episodes with scenes that parallel “Koyaanisqatsi”:

Season 11 Episode 6 ''Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder'' Aired November 1999,
contains a “fast-motion sequence when Homer oversleeps, accompanied by music very similar to that in the film”

Season 17 Episode 16 "Million Dollar Abie" Aired April 2006,
“When Abe is waiting for someone to call him, the simulated time lapse effect and music parody the movie”

Season 21 Episode 15 "Stealing First Base" Aired March 2010
“Homer takes Bart to see an Itchy and Scratchy film called Koyaanis-Scratchy: Death Out of Balance, which parodies and is named after Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance.”

This is what I wrote after seeing “Koyaanisqatsi”

Whether we are circuits or scared
To why we don't have 3D streets
              all fast forwarding.
We are the ions in the circuit of earth.
Footage will amaze and confuse
Keep guessing even what you're seeing.
                                                             It's real.
If you thought you’ve missed too much:
                                                            See it.
From natural clouds to green city streets
The time moneys’ materials spend for everyday life
Leaves you wanting a view from the clouds.
                                                                   Ions of the atmosphere.
Are these people always aware of the camera in the room?
From death to cops,
                               desert to littered streets,
                                                                    rain to destruction.
From the old to the hospital,
                                           hobos with pills,
                                                                    fros to curls.
Fads of coming together
Back to the snow of a rocket
                                             and life is aligned.

I bet you can find a download here
